I would like to extend this question: Where is this bug database? Neither bugs.sun.com nor bugs.opensolaris.org seem to know any of these bug numbers.
sunsolve.sun.com certainly can reference these bug numbers, although

I have a sunsolve account connected to several "bronze" support
contracts. After logging in, the only bug-related information I see are
two links to bugs.sun.com and bugs.opensolaris.org. Also the "search"
and "Advanced search" forms deliver nothing for, e.g., bug #6625491.
Also searches for, e.g., "open bugs SRSS" deliver nothing.

If I search the website, without logging in, and just enter "6625491", I only see the SRSS patch description :-(.

However, if I log into sunsolve.sun.com, and then enter "6625491" in the Search field, I see the bug description. You should also I believe, if you use the login associated with your support contract. If not, you probably need to take it up with service (or maybe somebody else has a suggestion?).

I don't know how visible/useful it is to people who don't have
support contracts (OTOH, without a support contract you may not be
able to get the patch either).

It is useful for a sysadmin to see the open bugs of the software he utilizes.

Certainly. But, since you need a support contract to get a patch, and since I believe you can see bugs if you have a support contract, I don't see an issue here.

There are the bug numbers used within Sun, which pertain to Solaris
(not OpenSolaris). These same bug numbers are published externally
through sunsolve.sun.com

Sorry, this would not be the first time that I am too stupid to find
something on Sun's web space. Where are they published on sunsolve?

I suspect you're either not logging in, or using a login which is not associated with your support contract(s).

Regards,
Bob
