It's critical that you always either use an unrouted interconnect (utadm
-a) or a fully-connected LAN (utadm -A).
If you try to configure an isolated network (i.e. such that your primary
interface can't reach it) with Sun Rays, and either it's routed or you
neglect to configure it as an interconnect, your topology will not
function properly.
That said, if you do route your two subnets together, the vast bulk of
traffic (e.g. all the rendering) will remain on your secondary network.
Initial rendezvous, such as for load balancing or AMGH, will occur on
the primary interface. There is a bug report open on this issue
(6731092), but I'm not sure if it's getting active attention at the moment.

Slightly Off Topic , but does Load balancing of Sun Rays between
the 4 servers really work with this setup ?
I cant get my Sun Rays to loadbalance between the secondary
interfaces , they always try to loadbalance to an address
on the primary network.

hi,
is it possible to force a ray server to use a specific network
interface? at the moment i get:

i'd like to see/use only the 10.155.136.X ip addresses (regarding ray
services), but have the other nic activated as well ...
