This was one of the big problems I always had with sunray & it obviously
hasn't been resolved yet. 
Using the windows rdp client on a conventional thin client it was pretty
good, yet through the sr2 a 4 second delay.
As far as I can see this problem is unique to sunray. Shame sun seem
unable to do anything about it :( 
I guess it is a limitation of the device & the way the windows connector
works.

This audio delay will happen on any RDP client without special 
multi-media redirection.  The extra hop the sound has to make in your 
architecture is probably making the delay more noticeable.

The release in beta has support for VC-1 and mpeg h.264 direct decode, 
but that doesn't sound like it would help with this application.

Since it's a terminal emulation package, have you considered trying the 
application under Solaris as a lot of work had been done in the recent 
past to remove as much latency as possible for softphones under Solaris.
