This was one of the big problems I always had with sunray & it obviously hasn't been resolved yet. Using the windows rdp client on a conventional thin client it was pretty good, yet through the sr2 a 4 second delay. As far as I can see this problem is unique to sunray. Shame sun seem unable to do anything about it :( I guess it is a limitation of the device & the way the windows connector works.

The extra hop the sound has to make in your architecture is probably making the delay more noticeable. The release in beta has support for VC-1 and mpeg h.264 direct decode, but that doesn't sound like it would help with this application. Since it's a terminal emulation package, have you considered trying the application under Solaris as a lot of work had been done in the recent past to remove as much latency as possible for softphones under Solaris.
