Garry,
Thanks for the input. That looks like what I think I want. I probably
would have used one script instead of three, but that's just me... It
seems that switch.sh only calls utswitch, which is used to force a DTU
to change to another SRSS server in the FOG. I'm guessing that's
another menu option for the login chooser, possibly to alleviate
perceived slowness? It doesn't seem to be called by the xnest wrapper
script anywhere.
In other words, I don't think I need it, but am happy to be corrected.
Thanks.

Your mileage may vary, but it's a start ...

I've been looking for options for having our SunRays get a remote
linux desktop session. The ultimate goal would be for users to be
presented with the option of selecting a Windows or linux desktop when
they login. Right now, we just use uttsc as the default kiosk app.
I've been searching through the archives and on the wiki and on the
ThinkThin blog and have found references to using xnest and VNC. Is
there a howto out there some where that might describe the setup and
caveats for a remote linux desktop?
Worst case I could just have a separate linux server hosting SRSS for
one lab and just leaving uttsc on my current Sol10 server hosting my
other lab. This basically would eliminate the possibility of a
"dual-boot" setup, though.
Thanks.
