Sorry, but I probably didn't spell out my problem!
The error occurs always, whatever display I use.
I seems that Xnest doesn't use the Xrandr 1.2 required
by the remote linux box.

I follow your suggestion: I started the DTU in kiosk mode running xterm,
then I
executed the Xnest command to the linux box. I got no success! Same error,
as described below.

Any further suggestion?
