I can also support the observation that it is very disturbing that Xnewt
does not support the XRENDER extension. It really causes some trouble
here and there. So my question to one of the Sun employee in here is if
there is a plan for adding XRENDER support to Xnewt and if so when it
will happen?
Don't expect support for XRENDER to be very helpful. You have to
remember that there is no graphics hardware anywhere near where this has
to be done, so it will necessarily be done in software. On a Niagara
that will be *extremely* painful.
