So in summary, I will get free stuff for mainframe and unix part, but the only challenging part is tandem(6530) emulation. for this I have to pay $159 per seat - using powerterm from ericom, which in total will be very expensive if I combine with all the solution. It has been in widespread use for many years. It is free. This is the way most things have been done in the UNIX world since day one. So, basically, with the possible exception of the Tandem stuff (and I just haven't researched that), much of what you need is already built into Solaris, and you can get everything else for free.
