The red and green marks indicate the state of various security features.

The mark on the right indicates whether the server has authenticated to the DTU (red=no, green=yes). The mark on the left indicates whether the DTU has authenticated to the server (green=yes, no mark=no). The lock in the middle indicates whether network traffic is encrypted (red=no, green=yes).

The DTU to client authentication feature (the green mark on the left) is new in SRSS 4.2. The DTU doesn't 'resent' not being asked to authenticate, so there is no red mark if that feature is off (but it is on by default, if both sides support it.).

All these things are controlled on the Advanced/Security tab of the Admin GUI or using the utcrypto(1M) CLI.
