Hi Folks,

I have been trying to install SRSS 4.2 on OpenSolaris 2008.11 purely as a
hobby project. I am a router guy by trade and with OpenSolaris I am swimming
in the deep end of the pool for the first time.

I have a Sun Ray 1 unit as well as the Desktop Client installed on a WinXP
machine.

I followed the instructions here -

http://wiki.sun-rays.org/index.php/SRSS_4.1_on_OpenSolaris_2008.11

Although I installed 4.2 instead of 4.1. I couldn't find the older version
on the Sun web site for download.

After a brand new install I put a static address on the OpenSolaris server.
I then followed the instructions on the aforementioned sun-ray wiki
perfectly (I think).

When I power-up and connect the SunRay the monitor just flashes with an hour
glass and the green newt mouse pointer forever. The display functions
normally in regards to the Sun Ray because if I unplug the Ethernet cable I
see that error and it is not flashing.

The WinXP machine graphic shows it trying the server with a flashing red
unlocked padlock - the 14D error. The IP addresses of both machines are
shown. I see the sequence of numbers in the bottom right corner go by before
it reaches 14 - 1->22->26->14.

The SRSS web gui under Desktop Units shows the MAC addresses of both clients
but further investigation shows their status as "Disconnected".

I am using my LAN router as the DHCP. I executed the command utadm -L on.
Everything is on the same subnet, 192.168.1.0/24.

I would be happy to get either one of the clients working at this point. I
have put a lot of time into this already. I originally thought this would be
fun. I am hoping I missed something easy in the config..

Thanks.
