XenServer does have a VM Tools installation much like vmware (Citrix Tools for Virtual Machines). The registry key you mentioned looks like this on my XP system:
Default, REG_SZ, (Value not set) EnableMP3Coded, REG_DWORD, 1 MaxBandwidth, REG_DWORD, 0x000056b9 midimapper, REG_SZ, midimap.dll mixer, REG_SZ, rdpsnd.dll wave, REG_SZ,rdpsnd.dll wave1, REG_SZ, SunAudio.dll wave2, REG_SZ, Sun\sunwave.dll wavemapper, REG_SZ, msacm32.drv On another note, since my initial VM testing I've tested it on a physical PC and 2003 R2 Terminal server and I'm getting the same response on all three: just static.
