XenServer does have a VM Tools installation much like vmware (Citrix Tools for
Virtual Machines). The registry key you mentioned looks like this on my XP
system:

Default, REG_SZ, (Value not set)
EnableMP3Coded, REG_DWORD, 1
MaxBandwidth, REG_DWORD, 0x000056b9
midimapper, REG_SZ, midimap.dll
mixer, REG_SZ, rdpsnd.dll
wave, REG_SZ,rdpsnd.dll
wave1, REG_SZ, SunAudio.dll
wave2, REG_SZ, Sun\sunwave.dll
wavemapper, REG_SZ, msacm32.drv

On another note, since my initial VM testing I've tested it on a physical PC
and 2003 R2 Terminal server and I'm getting the same response on all three:
just static.

Thanks for looking at it.

Damien

Since I'm not up to speed on XenServer, does it require any VM Tools installed?

We know that VMWare tools can change our registry settings for audio.

SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32\Terminal Server\RDP

I'll go look at what a working system should look like, and we can go from
there, but I do need to understand what other tools (like whatever the
XenServer version of VMWare Tools would be) that might be installed other than
the 1.1 Windows tools.

Thanks! I'm really happy to see so many folks trying out the new features.
