My users end with ctrl-alt-bs-bs.
This is done when the screen freezes after some idle time.
ctrl-alt-bs-bs resolves this but I still need to find a way to prevent
the freezing.

Likely not the case for you. Do users end their session with
ctrl+alt+BS+BS? If so, then what's happening is the last thing
windows got was the CTRL+ALT before the Sun Ray session was
terminated. When it's reconnected, the Windows session is waiting
with CTRL+ALT engaged, thus a del brings up the lock screen. You can
hit CTRL+ALT again and the del key should work.
