I talked to sales reps from Aimtec and General Dynamics (who make the Tadpole series thin-client laptops) a year or so ago. At that time, the Tadpole Meteor (similar to the current M1400, I believe) was $950. I couldn't find my notes for the Gobi, but IIRC, they were $1000-$1200 US (I may be misremembering that, though). We ended up not pursuing using thin laptops, so I can't tell you anything about how good either one is.

On the Yahoo Solaris list these Gobi SunRay laptops were briefly
discussed a couple of weeks ago.

Is anyone on this list using them?  Do you like them?  What was/is their
price point, no prices were listed on the web site.
