So since the upgrade, every day one or two Sun Ray 2 DTUs (out of around 100 -- spread out over three buildings) will get into an error state that doesn't respond to CONTROL-Moon and requires administrator intervention. Example from today:
[15:19:01 root]$ utdesktop -lw Desktop ID Location No-Session (H:M:S) ------------ -------------------- ------------------ 00144fd15aed LJCCC LJ-139 0:7:20 1 desktop currently in error state without a session. [/] [15:20:00 root]$ cat /tmp/SUNWut/config/tokens/pseudo/00144fd15aed sunray2:7007:4199349229997586277 OK, I go take a look at this DTU... It was hung at the Oracle screen with the circles (except the circles weren't moving). When I press CTRL-Moon, it resets, shows that it sees one of the two SR servers, and shows error 22B. Then I hear a very brief static noise coming from the DTU (this is not unique -- it's happening on all our Sun Ray 2 DTUs since original 5.2 firmware upgrade). Then it goes back to the Oracle screen where it's hung (circles not moving). If I insert a smart card (most people here do not have them, only administrators), I can get my own session just fine. When I take the card out, the error state continues. When I log into the admin portal, I see that for this DTU there is a Login Greeter / Idle session (disconnected). I terminate it. That immediately resolves the issue -- when I take my card out again, the default Windows kiosk session (pseudo token) comes up, as expected. I have a support case open. Just curious if this is more widespread. Daniel _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
