Paul, Sun Ray 2N is from Nature Worldwide Technology Corp., or NatureTech from Taiwan. They used to do SPARC notebooks and workstations as well.
Unlike Gobi which was made by Accutech, Sun Ray 2N have the same hw basic spec and firmware with addition of wifi. It was adopted by some regional Sun offices eg in Japan and they wanted to become official Sun supplier of Sun Ray notebooks, but it never happened. As far as I know, the last GUI firmware is NWTC,KiboP8GUI_u2_2007_09_05 which is based on SR ver. 4.0-48.
