I have a need to identify what model Sun Ray my Kiosk script is connected to.
In particular, I need to know if it is an actual Sun Ray or the OVDC. I'm using
SRS 5.3.1.
Any suggestions??
It might be a bit heavyweight, but you can use utquery, i.e.:
$ /opt/SUNWut/sbin/utquery -d 192.168.128.150
terminalID=00144fXXXXXX
terminalIPA=192.168.128.150
model=SunRayP8
currentAuth=192.168.128.11
currentFW=GUI4.1_139548-02_2009.05.13.18.59
currentBarrier=325
currentBarrierLevel=325
currentMTU=1356
Subnet=255.255.255.0
Router=10.94.56.1
MTU=1500
Broadcst=10.94.56.255
INFORMServer=10.94.56.1
FWservType=default
parmsVersion=GUI4.1_139548-02_2009.05.13.18.59
parmsBarrier=325
NewTBW=10000000
configMTU=1356
dnsList=192.168.128.8,192.168.128.9
VPNdname=sunrayvlan.domain.org
confNetType=Static
confIPA=10.94.56.148
confSubnet=255.255.255.0
confRouter=10.94.56.1
confMTU=1500
confBroadcst=10.94.56.255
conf.bandwidth=10000000
conf.compress=1
conf.lossless=0
stopqon=0
bandwidth=10000000
This particular DTU is a P8 (SunRay2) with static network setup
and DNS-based search for servers, connecting via Cisco ASA VPN
onto a "dedicated" sunray subnet.
