Hi everyone,
I've started the process to see what we can do to resolve this, Stoyan has forwarded my the document.

Please understand that the following are only my views and opinion, and doe not necessarily reflect the views of Oracle.

This does seem to be the result of a broad search for re-hosted Sun/Oracle copyrighted content, performed by a third party contracted by Oracle.

A corporation has the right to protect it's copyrighted material and trademarks. Actually, it must actively protect it's copyrights and trademarks, or risk losing them (see "Aspirin, Escalator, Thermos", etc).

However, as Sun and now Oracle, and the Sun Ray product group has always supported Filibeto and the community to the best of our abilities. Server donation, sun-rays.org domain name transfer, etc.

I'm hopeful that all that is needed to do is to formalize Filibeto as a "partner" or "community" site.

While I'm somewhat familiar with the Oracle Partner network, I can't speak exactly what this will entail. Most likely, it will involve replacing corporate logos to those that are made to be used by partner and community sites, and the use of proper disclaimers in relevant spots throughout the site. I'm more than happy to help Stoyan with whatever web based work needs to be done.

I'm less certain about the document archive. I personally love it, although it would be great to notify people upon accessing it that they are accessing old documentation. :) I hope we can obtain legal permission to re-post/re-host this existing document library, it's a great historical reference for a unique and long-lived product that is not easily accessible otherwise (even internally!).

Regards,
CB

Hello!

I've asked Stoyan to send me all the details. This is the first
I've heard about this at all. There has to be some
misunderstanding. I really *hope* there is some misunderstanding.

It seems that Oracle is currently sweeping the courtyard.

The very usefil site WeSunSolve, collecting patch information, was
also forced offline.
