Craig: Thank you for responding. I searched the list archive and found the Zenity script you provided.
However, I don't think it addresses the issue with the Windows 2012 broker: one must specify the load balance argument (introduced in RDP 7.0) in order to take advantage of machine pools that use personal virtual disks. We want this feature so that we can have a pool of just a few generic machine instances to which a user's personal virtual disk is connected at login rather than having to have a dedicated machine instance for each user. uttsc does not appear to support the load balance argument. Is Oracle planning to provide an updated version of uttsc (or rdesktop - we'll run SRSS under Linux if we need to) that does support this parameter? If so, when? However, you'll need to provide the user credentials prior to seeing the windows login screen. I've sent several examples of that to this list, but if you can't track them down, I'll resend. We have a Win 2012 Hyper-V environment all set up and ready to go. We just need to know when the Sun Ray will be able to access through the Microsoft broker. Given the massive HIPAA push underway at our university, Sun Rays that could access this environment could become the end user device of choice; this could displace millions of dollars worth of Dell desktops. However, we want to use Sun Rays to connect to Windows 7 & 8 virtual instances on Windows 2012 servers through their brokers. It appears that uttsc does not support specifying the load balance parameter required to do this. Is this correct? If so, is there a timeframe for when Sun Ray might support this capability? This seems like a pretty important feature to many enterprise computing customers.
