Dear All,
I recently upgraded my two head SunRay 3plus station from 2x21"
displays to 2x24" displays (Sun 24.1" LCD Monitor v4). While the old
configuration worked properly recognizing the display geometries and
maintaining a manually set java desktop resolution of 3200x1200 pixels
the new combination has following problems:
1. After powering on the 3+ and the monitors (using a master slave
multiple socket outlet) the Ray comes up with display properties for
both monitors reset to 1920x1080x60(D) instead of 1920x1200x60(D) (which
was manually set before the power off). It requires a new power cycle
within a few seconds to recognize the correct display settings.
2. The resolution setting 3840x1200 is missing in the Java desktop
resolution menu. So it's not possible to set the correct screen geometry
for the X-server.
Any ideas what to do?
My guesses are
1. is a firmware problem of the SunRay, but I recently upgrade the
firmware to SunRayP9 4.3_146928-05_2011.12.19.17.08
2. is just a missing menu item in the Java(Gnome) desktop configuration.
But I don't have a clue how to fix this.
Any hint much appreciated.
