I've dabbled with CE Pro, and it seems comprehensive if a little strange in
it's interface. The only thing I am not sure about is the sound quality
compared with some of the more "mature" pro systems. For plain old sound
editing I now use Sound Forge and I love it - very fast and it sounds
superb - also very solid in operation. However it is not much good for
remixing so I'm going to have to try again with CE Pro I think. I also have
Cubase Audio which I used to use a lot for pure midi sequencing - remember
you are getting the midi file too, not just the samples, and the samples
will be pretty short (individual notes, percussion loops and vocals). You
may want to use more of a sequencer - maybe like Dance Ejay or something if
you don't want to go the "pro" route.
Anyway - the files are coming very soon now - there have been various
technical problems (more like screwups!) which have slowed things down so
far....one day...!
