It is strange that your IDE drive was affected. Try removing and reseating
your IDE card, and doing the cuda reset again. Have you tried the SCSI 2 gig
drive on the external SCSI bus?
What did the disk utility say about your main IDE drive?

I'm hoping some of the others here have some more ideas for you to try. I've
not ventured into the IDE card arena yet so I'm not sure what to suggest
next.
