I suppose several posts of these comparisons are helpful when using the same
test page. Here's mine using a GV 56k USB v 90 modem, in a rural area and
using a local isp. Pretty similar to Dennis.

My raw speed was 23568 bits per second.
Communications: 23.6
Storage 2.9 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 5.9 minutes

test type Downstream Test v3 (200 KB idt type)
test was run 20:35CST Mar 18, 2002
IP address* 12.7.121.206
your ISP AT&T ITS (But really Local ISP:)

My ARA says I connected at 26,400

Lot of good this 56K v90 is doing me.

(For anyone's use outside this specific comparison, here are two other good
test pages. http://www.dslreports.com/tools
