Yes you can and will need the Cat-5(E) and you will need a gigabit ethernet switch. Which, now that I looked at some prices, are not as pricey as I had thought they were. I also whole-heartedly concur with Jeff Walther's suggestion re: just pulling more wire, even if you can't use it now, you may well find it useful in the future.
