I immediately "updated the drivers" removed the CD and restarted...the drive is resurrected I'm backing that up and going after drive #2. I DON'T NOW HOW TO THANK-YOU, YOU'VE SAVED MY XXX, I've been mulling over this for a week, I would never have thought of reverting to 8.6, so why does 8.6 "see HFS+" and 9.1 does not...Anyway, Jeff I'm very grateful, may I write you off list, I have a thought.
