Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone knew what could cause the on board video of the C500 to go dead. I mean, obviously, other than physical damage.
I've inspected the mobo and haven't found anything that looks burnt or damaged in any way, and everything works fine on the machine, other than the on board video. If i boot up with a video card in it everything works great. anyone know which components on the mobo i'd have to look at extra carefully to check for damage? i know this poor umax has been to hell and back, the person i bought it from used it as a door stop i'm guessing... and they liked to slam doors. hehe. normally i wouldn't mind using a video card but i'm trying to get BeOS installed on it and I'm 99% sure that when i boot it it's trying to go out thru the on board video rather than the video card. so i end up with nothing but the BeOS logo displaying on the monitor attached to the video card, and of course nothing displays at all on the on board wether i'm trying to boot macos or beos. any help at all would be fantastic. thanks. -steve -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
