You might try leaving the USB items unplugged at start up, and plug them 
in after you boot.

Wacom has some new drivers.  Have you tried any of them?

You can make the extension load later by  placing "~" (without quotation 
marks) in front of the extension's name. Or make another load earlier by 
placing a blank space in front of its name.

Sounds like buying a TV might me easier ;-)  Just kidding, but that does 
sound like a lot of bother!
