  After reading my post I think I should clarify it a bit. If you hold down
the option key while selecting  the function key they will work as they did
when you were running Mac OS 9.0.4.  Mac OS 9.1 added new features too the
Keyboard CP.  This allows you to assign a different function for each key.
However you must now hold down the option key now.
