Hi Adrian, Open the "Keyboard" control panel, click on the "Function Keys" button, and deselect the "Use F1 through F15 as Hot Function Keys" option. For some odd reason in OS 9.1 this defaults to making the F1-F15 keys programmable, requiring the option modifier key to make a normal key click. HTH, paul -- Paul F.
