Bev, Others on this list will probably be much more helpful, as I do not have an S900. However, I wanted to point out that the System Profiler has never recognized the FireWire PCI card in either our C600 or 9600. I am able to attach and use an external firewire drive with either machine - it just does not show up in the System Profiler.
