Yes, I tried those things too.  I always dreaded having to open the s-900
case, but this QuickSilver case is a breeze.

The funny thing is that I was able to see the drive in Mac O/S X.  I've been
meaning to switch over eventually anyway, so I decided this was a good time.
I'm really curious to know what's causing the problem, but I made a few good
copies of the data so I'm not worried.  The drive had over 30gigs of data.
I'm glad I didn't have to burn 50 CD's for each copy.  It's now on three
firewire hard drives.
