Hello, Does anyone have any experience running a PowerBook 3400c in SCSI disk mode off and s900?
I am pretty certain I have the goofy short 29pin HDI-30 cable. I attached both cables with the power off, just like the manual says. I powered up the PowerBook first and then the s900 and then boot up. If I read the manual correctly a special scsi icon is supposed to show up, but it just goes through a normal boot up and it beats the s900. I tried changing the SCSI ID number and then I tried a special base startup set with Conflict Catcher for OS 8.6 and that didn't help. I have another longer HDI-30 cable for connecting to 50pin devices, but it isn't missing a pin. The manual and the Apple Guide isn't much help.
