Glad to hear my old software is still working! I'll have to give it a try. XPostFacto is what had to be done to make things legal with Apple. It is based on Darwin which is open source. Apple legal would have been after me big time If I had put my software up on a web site. >Thanks for the help. I knew this was the right place to ask these questions! > >If I may ask, what kind of system are you running X on these days? >This G4/450 card has made a world of difference here. > >Dan I'm still using my J700 Umax machine still runs great.Sonnet/Acard ATA 66 PCI card with Quantum hard drive. I've got an XLR8 carrier card with G3 500mhz zif. It is over-clocked to 550 mhz at a bus of 55mhz.So is pretty fast for a G3 ! A G4 would have to run at a bus of 61mhz to reach 550 that is pushing too hard for many machines. G4 would make the graphics a bit faster and of course Photoshop, itunes and Quicktime all like the G4 but I'm happy with what I have for now and a while. It is possible someone may come up with a faster cpu for our old machines but maybe not...later Will S -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
