My S900 with XLR8 G3 card had been acting hinky--long, heditant startup. Then I lost
cable modem connection (modem was working fine). Tried using the AAUI port, tried
installing new Ethernet card--nothing. In the meantime, I also installed new RAM and
re-positioned it all to take advantage of interleaving. Now computer spins up, but no
signal to monitor. All monitor cables work fine (tried with another computer). Local
repair shop first said it was a logic board, so I bough new one. before they installed
it, however, they tried replacing processor card, and computer worked fine. Now I'm
debating whether to put the old 604e card back in or buy a new accellerator card. If
the latter, would it be enough to get just a new processor, or is it more likely that
whole card is faulty?
