I'm running OS X on my S900 with that same amount of RAM, it seems fine. Although the more the merrier, of course. Also, I'm running a G3/333 (1 mb cache) processor upgrade that's clocked to 350, and it's pretty good at running OS X at a usable pace. Your Sonnet 450 will do very well. One last tip, it's something that Michael Chavez reminded me here on this list... make very certain that your SCSI hard drives are terminated properly.
