---------------

When I broke the bank getting my outfit in '98, the SONY 400ps (19") was
part of the list.
The 3-year warranty came in handy when the red gun quit.
Actually the warranty had just expired by a month or so but SONY repaired
the monitor FREE.
The whole process was handled over the internet without a single phone call.

But it cost me around $50 to ship the darn thing in its original box.
As for the quality of the monitor, my eyes couldn't be more pleased.

Trying to pack a monitor for shipping is a monumental task if you don't have
the original box.
It will cost you if a packaging store does it for you.
Collapse the box and save the styrofoam blocks in a garbage bag and put them
away.
You never know.

I've been around several brands of monitors - SONY's upper range models and
Mitsubishi's Diamond Pro models stand out among them.
The model lineup keeps changing and I can hardly keep up these days.
