A little progress.... As noted in the previous post, I was encountering great difficulty in getting a system to install. I tried a little trickery. I copied the System Folder from the OS 9.1 install CD to the SCSI drive by dragging it over. It would not work when I tried to drag the entire folder. But did work, doing one file at a time. It automatically blessed itself. Of course the computer would not boot from it. It told me that system folder would only boot from the media on which it originated or something to that effect. However, upon rebooting from the CD it allowed me to do a clean install over top of it.
I have booted from it twice now, with nothing strange happening. Oh joy! Will run Disk Warrior, then pop a RAM sandwich in and let Ramometer run while I celebrate with some Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
