Robyn,

I found out the hard (and expensive) way about being extremely careful 
and not damaging the connector pins.  I damaged the printer port on my 
very first computer, a laptop. The "wiggle to fit" means of using it 
eventually cracked a solder joint on the neighboring AC adapter port.  I 
had to have the motherboard replaced to get it them fixed.
