NewerTech had the most compatible upgrades and did some of the
cleverest engineering. They seemed to have a better understanding
of the fiddly bits of the Mac with which they were interfacing, than
other companies. However, they were not as overclockable and user
modifiable as other companys' upgrades.

It remains to be seen what quality of product the reconstituted
NewerTech will sell. Much of their value must have been in talented
engineers and my understanding is that those folks already found jobs
with other companies. Of course, some of them may go back. All of
this makes it hard to say how the new NewerTech will do quality-wise.
