I have to agree with Jeff here adding Newer Tech was the best in
their day which passed as all thinks mus. They started doing things
like making cards that needed special expensive ram. Publishing
incorrect info on ram requirements and refused to correct the info
which some ram dealers rely on to this day incorrect or not. Also
removed the ability to over clock on many/most cards. Famous for a
screwed up marketing department. Which announced products months or
even sooner then they could deliver them. Macgurus at some point
refused to sell them at some point as they couldn't deliver promised
products. In the end this is what likely killed the company.
I would say at this point the current upgrade companies all make good
products which meet different peoples needs in the market place.
If I had to make a list I would place them in this order. But not as
much difference in companies as in the past. The weak products and
companies are gone.(and some good products are also gone but if the
companies had been strong they would still be around)

Powerlogix
Sonnet
Newer Tech unknown at this time
