I have an Epson Color Stylus 900 connected to my C500 using a USB card and recently I've begun getting an error message during printing--something like "the printer is no longer connected"--and of course the printing job is incomplete.
Haven't had any problems when using the serial port rather than the USB port (the printer has both). Could it be the USB cable is too long? It's 5 or 6 feet I think. Also, a slightly off topic question. I'm thinking of going to DSL. If I do, I may want to connect my wife's Mac to DSL as well. Her Mac is ethernet capable, so I assume all I would need is some sort of hub or router. Recommendations on which one and what type would be appreciated. Also, would we be able to use both machines at the same time for DSL? Thanks in advance for your help. Spence -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
