Spence- I recommend getting a DSL router- this will allow you to hook both comp.s up to the DSL modem as well as create a network. There are many kinds available that work with both Macs and PCs. I have an SMC model that was $49 after rebates. You should be able to get one for around that ( unless you get a wireless version). Mine was easy to set up, gives firewall protection from hacking intruders and gives us a seamless internet connection that is always on. It made a big difference to the quality of our connection as well. Best of Luck-
