But I'm striping only my SCSI drives, and I'm not using OSX.  I've 
been striping my SCSI drives since I was using a IIci, back when a 
NuBus JackHammer was pretty exciting and RAID Toolkit 1.8 even more 
so.  :-)   I got almost 10 MB/s out of my RAID back then.  It's more 
of a habit than a real need.
