Hi All,
A little update on my problems with the XLR8 G4 card and the E100 SCSI card. I decided to pull the E 100 card and the UW drive and use the on-board scsi to see if this improved things. Unfortunately it hasn't made the slightest difference. When I launch Photoshop and open a file, do some work on it and save, the program quits. (In the past it sometime froze up the computer.) I checked the ram using Guage pro. There was no problem detected but the ram wasn't interleaved. (I used to have problems with the interleaving feature on the original PCI macs and so got into the habit of deliberately NOT interleaving it.) Still, I've decided to swap them around and interleave them in this case. But haven't tested this to see if it makes a difference yet. I looked at the "G4" board and discovered that it is a "Mach speed G3" board with the CPU now upgraded to a G4 -400Mhz. Is this okay? I mean should I be concerned about this?
