That's a good point, I recall that there is a problem with XLR8 software and the Powerlogix E100 enabler extension. Making sure speculative processing was disabled was the work around. But the symptom was that it caused boot problems and that really nasty black screen of death. Perhaps there's some other E100 related things to be wary of too that I can't remember. It's amazing the number of things one has to narrow down to figure out a persistent problem.
