That is how I thought it worked as well, however, on my machine, the software wouldn't give me any options and simply stated that the L3/motherboard cache was disabled or non-existant. Regardless of what the setting was in OS9. I was never really sure if it was disabled, so I jumpered J38 (mine already had the pins, so this wasn't a problem), I saw a large speed increase and now the Powerlogix software reports that L3/motherboard cache is non-existant, as it should.
There is a possibility that this is a fluke. I seem to remember someone using the same software I do (Powerlogix Cache Control 1.4) and was able to turn his/hers of and on with the software. Mine just doesn't feel like cooperating that way......Maybe my computer knows that it has the J38 pins and just wanted me to do it that way :) Sometimes I do wonder about things like that ;) -Robyn On Saturday, August 17, 2002, at 01:02 AM, Howie S wrote: >> One more note.
