My S900 operates the 24X Matshita just fine with the FWB driver under OS 9.1
(I think mine is a CR-508).
I no longer bother with trying to make it work with the Apple drivers,
orginial or hacked.
Also, dispite many folks' success (to varying degrees), running an S900
beyond 9.1, I am not as tempted.
Sorry you have some software that has to have 9.2....
Are you sure 9.1 won't cut it ?
