Hello,
I have been using an S900 for several years running OS8.6, with 400MB of
RAM, a Sonnet Crescendo 333MHz/G3 and OrangeLink Firewire/USB PCI card.
It has given me very few problems.

Recently I tried to upgrade the OS as I needed 9.2 to run some software.

First I went from 8.6 to 9.0.2. Everything worked as before after I
restored certain 3rd party drivers, except I lost the use of my internal
Jaz drive. Drive light flickers at first and then stays on indefinately.
MOuse still active but cant actually do anything. Only a reboot gets the
system back. Then thought I'll go to 9.1 to see if my problem can be
solved. Now I have also created a problem with my internal CD reader
(Matshita CR-508). The problem being that it does not recognise the
seperate sessions on a multi-session CD-ROM. I'm using the standard
apple CD/DVD extension that came with the OS. HELP!!!!!

Up till these changes the CD driver extension was called
"Apple_Any_CD_Driver". Do I need something similiar for my CD to work as
before? And as for the Jaz drive I reloaded the appropriate drivers but
still the same behaviour. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Reading the items in the archive I see that people have managed to get
OS X running on these machines, so 9.1 should be OK. NO?

Thanks
Greg Giannis
