What firmware version is in use by people on pre-OSX systems? I recently got
the card and SoftRAID and and am testing RAID configurations (UltraTek66 vs.
Tempo66; drivers on single disks; slots). I found the version 2.2.4 updater
for OSX at OWC and a version 1.1.2 updater at Smartdisk support. I'm using
OS 8.6 and Apple System Profiler doesn't give me the ROM version, nor does
Express-Pro Tools, nor FWB-HDT 4.0.1. I started the 2.2.4 update to see if
it would give the installed version number but no go. I stopped it after the
License Agreements because it looked as if the next step would flash the ROM
and I don't want to do that yet. What's on my card? Should I flash with
v2.2.4 before going to OSX (it'll be a while yet).

Also, I'm using Tempo Ultra66 firmware v3.08 with no problems on huge files
or my slave CDRW. v3.12 is supposed to enable large file transfers. ??!
Advice on flashing with 3.12? I'll post RAID results here in a day or so,
time depending on whether I update the firmwares.

Thanks,
