I've been using v3.12 since it came out (my card shipped with 3.08). I 
have never had any problems with file transfers, installs, or OSX 
install. Then again, my machine seems very forgiving. Installing OSX is 
actually easier than installing OS9 (and I am not exaggerating). Once 
again....It's simply amazing how different one machine can be from 
another even with the same hardware in place.
