I have the idea in the back of my mind that they may have used a 
serial EEPROM instead of a parallel Flash/EEPROM on these cards.  I 
don't know where I got that idea, but it's kicking around in my brain 
for some reason.  If they did, the Flash won't be a 32 pin PLCC. 
It'll have many fewer pins.
