Dear kind members, An issue has come up that I hope someone can advise a fix for. Typically I have little problems reading PC formatted media on my Umax S900 (G3 400mhz). My wife scanned and reworked some family photos on her PC and burned these to a disk and wants me to make a small QuickTime show of these. My S900 loads the disk and all shows up on the desktop ,yet try to copy anything from the disk and I get " Error -14404" ! What the heck is this ? Try to open with Photoshop 6 any of the .jpg or Photoshop files and the solid as a rock S900 has a hard lock up and has corrupted a disk requiring repairs ( B-Tree problems).
